What's on your bucket list?  What motivate's you and drives you to wake up and live another day?  Do you live for the weekends, or vacations?  How about the idea of a great journey or project, maybe even a particular experience in your life?  These are sometimes referred to as your dreams.  Why should we have them and what happens when we aren't having them?

Dreams or visions for your future are critical to giving people purpose and hope.  They allow us to work through many of the menial tasks of life and give us the energy and direction to keep marching on.  But, when our dreams are stifled or completely shut down, we often see significant dysfunction in our life.  Sometimes to the point of depression and mental health issues.

So the question we present today is: How can we support our spouse and their dreams?   The key here is supporting your spouse,  so it goes both ways.  Both spouses being intentional about supporting the dreams of each other.  When we learn to do this well we see a level of marital contentment and joy that we don't see when couples have no common dreams or lack support for the dreams of each other.

Understanding that dreams are a way that God reveals his desires for us. God gives us our visions for the future as the will honor his work in you.  God wants you to pursue what he lays on your heart.  We must not deny these visions, but rather, we must learn to chase them and make sure they are aligned with the God's nature.
