Colin Peters presents... FASTER, PUSSYCAT! KILL! KILL!

This week on Colin Peters presents… we head back into my mix vaults to listen to the second most important mix of my career. Recorded in 2010 and based on Russ Meyer's classic B-Movie, FASTER, PUSSYCAT! KILL! KILL! was the mix that opened my second era behind the decks. In 2009 I was thinking about giving it all up as I was getting every fewer gigs and was disillusioned with the music (this was the year when 'I Gotta A Feeling' by Black Eyed Peas & David Guetta was released :(. I decided to take things back to the drawing board and channel the music I loved when I started, spliced with the punky young guns of the day (Bloc Party, Two Door Cinema Club, TV On The Radio), and the mix was a huge success, opening up residencies at Cultura Club in Palma and Ibiza Rocks and paving the way to how I mix nowadays.



Esta semana en Colin Peters presents... escucharemos el segundo mix más importante de mi carrera. Grabado en 2010 y basado en la clásica película de serie B de Russ Meyer, FASTER, PUSSYCAT! ¡KILL! KILL! fue la sesión que inauguró mi segunda era tras los platos. En 2009 estaba pensando en dejarlo todo, ya que cada vez tenía menos bolos y estaba desilusionado con la música. En ese año se lanzó el 'I Gotta Feeling' de Black Eyed Peas & David Guetta :( y aquello fue un ejemplo entre los que me empujaron a volver a mis principios y canalizar la música que me gustaba de cuando empecé, y mezclarla con mis bandas favoritas de la época (Bloc Party, Two Door Cinema Club, TV On The Radio). Entonces la sesión fue un gran éxito, abriéndome residencias en Cultura Club en Palma y Ibiza Rocks, allanando el camino a lo que hoy en día es mi estilo propio.
