The Alarm have recently released their album WAR (RAW in reverse), led by vocalist Mike Peters. Peters' lyrics are extremely on topic as he explores the anger and chaos of the last five years, from Brexit to the Capitol riots, the use of social media as a propaganda tool (as the song “Protect and Survive” sounds the alarm of “280 ways to start a war!”), all the way through the continuing pandemic. It makes for a lively conversation, as samples from the album are played and classic Alarm songs like “Strength” and “Rain in the Summertime” are discussed, among other things. Listen up!
