Christmas has been an eclectic mix for the Robby The Robot’s Waiting team. The premise of our "Christmas gifts" was to introduce our co-hosts to something they've not seen before. Having ventured into ’80s fantasy territory with Hawk The Slayer, before braving the Spanish Civil War chills of The Devil’s Backbone, we’re off for a jaunt to the decidedly odd Maine town of Haven.

In the third of our festive specials, the Stephen King adaptation was Tanavi’s pick for Richard and Dave to watch. We invited freelance journalist, TV expert and former SFX editor Dave Golder along for the ride to remember what TV was like at the start of the decade. Join us as we wonder why such a small town has so many amenities, ask if Haven’s part of the same world as The X-Files, and celebrate a show that brought The Thing to small-town America.
