Despite its early foray into the EV vehicle segment with the Leaf back in 2010, Nissan has largely lagged the industry in the development of EV technology and vehicles - until now. Alarmed at the high level of deaths in and around a number of high-traffic rail lines in South Florida, the state's Department of Transportation has come together with Brightline and the Florida East Coast Railway to ask the feds for additional funding to combat the problem. Finally, although this may seem counterintuitive at first, gas station owners also hate high gasoline prices as well.
