The Ministry of Health says there are 287,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine in the country awaiting distribution with just over 71,000 first doses and 19,000 second doses administered so far. The Health Minister says the current rate of vaccination is around 6,000 thousand per day, and expects this to hit 10,000 per day by the end of this month, and 40,000 to 50,000 by "late May/June". Kathryn talks with Dr Nikki Turner, director of the Immunisation Advisory Centre and Dr Rawiri McKree Jansen from the National MÄori Pandemic Group - Te Ropu Whakakaupapa Uruta, also part of the government's Immunisation Implementation Advisory Group.
