Wellington's Mayor Tory Whanau hopes a future government will resurrect the just-ditched plans for light rail in the city.
In the meantime, she says she's keen to get some shovels in the ground for the council-led work on the golden mile -- which spans Lambton Quay and Courtenay Place.
