Residents on Vanuatu's north-eastern islands are taking cover - many of them in evacuation centres - as tropical cyclone Lola gets closer.
It's been upgraded to a Category 4, with average wind speeds faster than 160-kilometres per hour.
The nearly stationary cyclone is expected to remain a Category 4 as it crosses the islands.
