Nurses and midwives warn that Te Whatu Ora's beefed-up Voluntary Bonding Scheme for new graduates won't be enough to stop students dropping out before they qualify.
The 2024 scheme has been expanded to include all new midwives, plus trainee GPs and nurses who commit to working in specific regions, as well as opening up to pharmacists and anaesthetic technicians for the first time.
