South Island firefighters are set to show off some of the skills that have enabled them to beat back the major fires they've faced this summer.
They'll do it at what's known as the South Island Waterway Challenge, which will take place in Mataura on Saturday.
United Fire Brigades Association's Jason Prendergast spoke to Ingrid Hipkiss.
