Shortages in mental health service workforce

Not sick enough to get help - that's what many people struggling with debilitating depression and anxiety are being told by mental health services.
Meanwhile, even for those who can afford to pay, wait times for private psychologists are blowing out due to massive workforce shortages.
The Office of the Auditor-General is warning the Government there's no point in training more mental health workers if it doesn't stop the exodus of those it already has.
