A New Zealand driver has claimed his second Bathurst 1000 victory after taking out the race at Mount Panorama last night.
Shane van Gisbergen repeated his 2020 success, and set a new record of 19 races won in a Supercars season. He was racing alongside now five-time winner, Garth Tander.
The race didn't go without it's fair share of incidents, with eight safety car appearances during the 161 laps.
Motorsport commentator Sandy Myhre was watching the nail biting race.
He spoke to Kim Hill.
