The silt-laden flood waters from Cyclone Gabrielle that devastated so many of Hawke's Bay's orchards, vineyards and gardens, seem to have actually benefitted one plant. Gardeners across the region have expressed their delight - and surprise - at the beautiful roses blooming out of the grey silt in many places. Our reporter Kate Green has the story.
