There has been swift reaction to the government wanting to charge GST on service fees of managed funds including Kiwisaver.
The funds, are currently exempt from the 15 percent goods and services tax - but that could change by 2026 bringing in the government an extra 225 million dollars a year in tax.
Revenue Minister David Parker spoke to Corin Dann.
