The death toll has reached over 10,000 in Gaza, just one month after fighters from Hamas launched a series of surprise attacks on Israel that killed 1,400 people.
Aid hasn't reached Northern Gaza since the crisis began, and the UN says it has no information on the needs or conditions of an estimated 400,000 civilians thought to be there.
Conditions for the civilian population in Gaza are deteriorating, with humanitarian aid trickling in slowly, and shortages of vital supplies becoming acute.
Mike Seawright is the founder of New Zealand charity ReliefAid, which is delivering aid in Gaza.
Seawright spoke to Corin Dann.
