The Auckland floods and Cyclone Gabrielle have led to significant insurance delays and customer service problems.
That's according to the Insurance and Financial Services Ombudsman Scheme who deals with complaints about insurers and financial service providers.
The IFSO had a record 569 complaints in May, following another two record breaking months in March and April.
Ombudsman Karen Stevens spoke to Ingrid Hipkiss.
