Queen's coffin arrives in Edinburgh

The Queen's coffin has arrived in Edinburgh after a six hour journey from Balmoral. It is the first part of the Queen's final journey, which will culminate with the state funeral on the 19 September in the UK. Thousands of people lined the streets of towns and villages along the journey. Overnight in London hundreds have left floral tributes and messages to the Queen at Green park next to Buckingham palace. The King has met Commonwealth Secretary General Patricia Scotland and Proclamation ceremonies have been held in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, marking King Charles' accession to the throne.
