A charity working to train dogs to detect cancer in urine, has just been gifted a nine-week-old detector pup by the police.
K9 Medical Detection NZ is working with seven dogs, to develop diagnostic tests for various types of cancers, and it's hoping to help thousands of New Zealanders in the future.
It's founder and chief executive Pauline Blomfield spoke to Susie Ferguson.
