A mysterious foundation that loans money to New Zealand First is under scrutiny, with concerns that while it's lawful, it fails to provide the transparency voters need in a democracy.
The party has received tens of thousands of dollars in loans from the New Zealand First Foundation and donors are able to remain anonymous.
Those running the foundation refuse to answer even basic questions about how it operates.
This report from Investigative Journalist Guyon Espiner.
