The Labour party hardly mentions farming, and National talks relentlessly about tax, spending and crisis.
Those are some of the key findings of an RNZ data analysis of nine months of media interviews given by National and Labour leaders on RNZ, TVNZ, Newshub and Newstalk ZB from July last year.
The findings are part of a series launching today on political speech called The Interview, by RNZ data journalist Farah Hancock and investigative journalist Guyon Espiner, who filed this report.
