A local government transport leader has given the government a "solid B plus" for its new draft transport plan.
New Plymouth Mayor Neil Holdom says the plan addresses the poor state of our roading network with increased maintenance funding, but says more cash is still needed.
But metro-council mayors are unhappy about the cut in funding for public transport of more than a billion dollars over the next three years.
