Geotechnical engineers are still mapping hundreds of slips in Nelson as they try to get people safely back into their homes.
Recent rain triggered the landslides and around 50 properties were affected in an area known as the Tahunanui Slump, which spans around 26 hectares of hillside overlooking the beach.
Some residents are yet to find out if and when it will be safe to return.
