Federated Farmers likes the new National party climate policy, but says it would be happier still if the government adopted the same position ahead of the election. National has been "listening to farmers' concerns," Federated Farmers president Wayne Langford says. Not least by proposing an emissions plan that would kick in five years later than the current government plan. National would implement a "fair and sustainable" pricing system for on-farm agricultural emissions by 2030 at the latest.
