A study has found taking 3800 steps per day can meaningfully reduce dementia risk.
The study collected daily step counts for more than 78,000 healthy adults, and seven years later followed up to see which of them were diagnosed with dementia.
It found higher numbers of steps, and faster steps, were associated with a lower risk of dementia.
One of the authors, professor Borja del Pozo, spoke to Corin Dann.
