The whereabouts of missing Marokopa man Tom Phillips and his three children continues to mystify.
Police have released a video that they say shows the father trying to smash into a superette in the town of Piopio earlier this month.
They believe the other heavily disguised person is one of his children.
Phillips has been on the run for more than two years.
Waitomo District mayor John Robertson spoke to Ingrid Hipkiss.
