The Labour Party has been dealt a drubbing by Te Pati Māori in the Māori electorates,
In 2020, Labour held six of the seven seats.
Now, that's down to three.
Te Pati Māori's held onto Waiariki, taken Te Tai Tonga, and 21-year-old Hana-Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke has ousted Labour veteran Nanaia Mahuta from Hauraki-Waikato after 15-years in the seat and 27-years in parliament.
In Te Tai Hauāuru, co-leader Debbie Ngarewa-Packer has secured a decisive victory.
