The Green Party has accused the opposition of whipping up racism over a tool which prioritises surgery waitlists, partly based on ethnicity.
The tool looks at clinical priority, time on the wait list, rural isolation, deprivation, and ethnicity - priorising Māori and Pasifika over other ethnicities.
Green Party co-leader Marama Davidson was ejected from the house when she refused to apologise after saying questions being asked were intended to raise racist opinions.
