The Housing Minister, Megan Woods, has extended several invitations to the National Party to meet and talk through National's ideas for housing.
This comes after National pulled its support for medium density standards that it and the government agreed upon two years ago.
The agreed upon standards would have allowed for up to three three-storey homes to be build on most sites in New Zealand, without a resource consent.
Both National and Labour say they still want bipartisan support for new housing standards.
National Party leader Christopher Luxon spoke to Ingrid Hipkiss this morning.
