It's been back and forth for the leaders of National and ACT who are in Auckland Wednesday morning to meet with NZ First leader Winston Peters.
Both Christopher Luxon and David Seymour were in Wellington on Tuesday with hopes of a three-way meeting.
But by day's end, it was clear they had to fly back to Auckland for there to be a chance of in-person talks with Peters on forming a new government.
