Holiday backpay begins for teachers

Thousands of school staff are about to get the first tranche of payments compensating them for 400-million-dollars in miscalculated holiday pay. It's taken seven years of review, negotiation and calculation to get this far and the payments scheduled for later this month are only the first step. They cover more than 82,000 current school employees and will total more than $38 million. RNZ education correspondent John Gerritsen has been following this story.
