A cyber security firm says hackers are selling thousands of staff and student logins, passwords and access to school and tertiary institution IT systems.
Cyber Sentience says it found evidence of nearly 2000 malware infections on devices used by students and teachers last year.
It says hackers are also claiming to have found vulnerabilities that give access to the IT systems and websites of more than 550 schools and tertiary institutions in Aotearoa.
