An editorial in the latest New Zealand medical journal says GPs are struggling to meet expectations, and the traditional 15 minute appoint system isn't adequate.
The current system is failing to deliver equitable outcomes for Maori and Pasifika, meanwhile staff are under-resourced, under-valued and increasingly burnt-out.
