The Government is expected to use another tool from it's arsenal to tackle the increasing cost of living.
It's anticipated the next the next step in supermarket reforms will be announced later today which will be aimed at opening the supply of wholesale groceries to smaller rival companies.
Officials say the new plan should help families to get a fair deal at the till.
