An Auckland dentist says the Labour Party's free dental care for under 30s is a good start but doesn't go far enough.
At the party's campaign launch on Saturday, leader Chris Hipkins announced, if re-elected, annual check-ups, teeth cleaning, basic fillings and extractions would be free by 2026.
Dr Hugh Trengrove, the Clinical Director for Hospital and specialist dentistry in Auckland, says those changes should happen immediately.
Trengrove spoke to Ingrid Hipkiss.
