Well, as we've already heard this morning, the government says it is cracking down on "the harm caused by gangs and other organised criminal groups" by seizing some of their assets.
Denis O'Reilly, a former gang member, thinks such terminology does not bode well for the plan.
He believes the Labour Party is attempting to outflank its National opponents on the centre-right at a time when anti-gang sentiment is running hot.
O'Reilly spoke to Corin Dann.
