Former Christchurch City councillor Deon Swiggs says he will struggle to clear his name now a code of conduct investigation against him has been dropped.
The investigation was launched by the Council after allegations of inappropriate social media messaging to people as young as 13, and insisting on hugs instead of handshakes.
Mr Swiggs failed to get re-elected, and the investigation will not be completed because he's no longer in office.
In a statement posted to his Facebook page, Mr Swiggs says the council has left him with a black mark against his name.
Mr Swiggs says he is looking at filing for a High Court review of the council process.
Mr Swiggs declined to be interviewed this morning.
