A Feilding early childhood teacher who forced food out of children's mouths, smacked them and locked them in rooms has been censured and struck off.
The Disciplinary Tribunal has found Pitter Patter Education Centre's owner Pauline Murphy guilty of serious misconduct and the teachers Code of Professional Responsibility.
The Tribunal says Murphy's misconduct happened over more than a decade and included threatening behaviour towards employees, ill-treatment of children, and serious breaches of health and safety regulations.
