Eye surgeons are warning they may not be able to cope with an increased demand for cataract operations now that more patients will qualify.
The government is trying to remove the post code lottery for surgery and is starting with cataracts.
Doctors want people to have fairer access but with the public health system under enormous pressure, ophthalmologist are worried they may fail to deliver.
