We're in for a day of severe thunderstorms, possible hail, and galeforce winds in some parts of the country, but NIWA's latest long range forecast might provide relief to the more sodden parts of New Zealand.
The seasonal climate outlook for the next three months predicts a normal amount of rain for most, as El Niño takes effect.
