The Edinburgh Fringe Festival wrapped up yesterday, with Australian comedian Sam Campbell winning best show.
The festival is famous as a launchpad for dozens of comedians and performers, including New Zealanders like Rose Matafeo and Rhys Darby.
But this year's festival has received a barrage of criticism for being too long, too expensive, and losing favour with audiences.
Scottish newspaper The National community editor Shona Craven spoke to Māni Dunlop.
