The motorsport community is mourning the deaths of driver Brooklyn Horan and co-driver Tyson Jemmett who died when their car left the road during a rally event in Northland on Sunday.
Horan was only 15 years old, highlighting the young age that many budding motorsport hopefuls get behind the wheel.
One of our greatest, Scott Dixon, began racing go-karts at the age of seven and by 13 was going toe-to-toe against adults in national level events.
He has of course gone on to become a six-time champion in the high-profile US IndyCar series.
His mother, Glenys Dixon, spoke to Corin Dann.
