A woman whose mother was evicted from her retirement home on Christmas Eve wants better protection for elderly people moving to hospital-level care.
Margaret Brown lived in her Ryman serviced apartment for six years before being assessed as needing hospital-level care.
But there was no room at Ryman's hospital wing so she had to leave indefinitely.
Her daughter says the ordeal traumatised her mother and she wants to make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else.
