Countdown has set up a new wholesale arm of its business which it says could service more than 50 retailers in coming months.
The first customer of the new business will be Auckland organic grocer Huckleberry.
Woolworths New Zealand director of grocery wholesale Steve Sexton says introducing a wholesale arm will allow greater access to a wide product range, at better prices, for a wide array of retailers.
Sexton spoke to Susie Ferguson.
