Today, the Wellington City Council will vote on a motion calling for the organisation to withdraw from Let's Get Wellington Moving.
If successful, it could be the end of the bold project, the centrepiece of which is a new light-rail system running from the Railway Station to Island Bay.
Tony Randle is one of six councillors who have signed the notice of motion, calling for withdrawal from the plan - while Tamatha Paul is a staunch supporter of the programme.
They joined Corin Dann.
