Two Christ Church Cathedral restoration workers have become the first people to legally venture inside the severely damaged building since the city's 2011 earthquake.
Senior engineer Pete Carney and site manager Gary Davidson spent 10 minutes inside the iconic structure on Tuesday, marking an important milestone in the project to reinstate the cathedral.
