Forest and Bird has been overrun with votes in its Bird of the Century competition.
Hundreds of thousands have been cast, so many it hasn't been able to count them all and has had to delay announcing the winner.
It all comes after comedian John Oliver launched an international campaign his the Pūteketeke, the Australasian Crested Grebe.
Forest and Bird chief executive Nicola Toki spoke to Morning Report.
