Kakhovka dam in the Russian-occupied area of southern Ukraine has been breached, unleashing a flood of water downstream.
Thousands have been evacuated from their homes, and hundreds of thousands have no clean drinking water.
Experts say it could take years for affected farmland to recover. It's still unclear who is responsible for the damage to the dam.
BBC security correspondent Frank Gardner spoke to Corin Dann.
