A solo tramper who was trapped by a boulder yesterday was rescued thanks to his locator beacon. Helicopter and alpine rescue crews found the man on a track in Arthur's Pass. He had been stuck for several hours in icy conditions, unable to move his foot. Anna Scheirlinck led the Alpine Rescue team. She spoke to Corin Dann.
