A plan to price the country's agricultural emissions may be put out to pasture before it gets going, as National backs away from supporting it.
A farmer and grower-led group - called He Waka Eke Noa - was set up in 2019 to work with the Government to develop a world-first pricing scheme.
The Opposition has now declared the plan dead - the Climate Change Minister argues that puts New Zealand's ability to meet its climate targets in jeopardy.
