As Jesus makes his way to Jerusalem, Luke seems to develop the story of Jesus entering the city. Maybe Zacchaeus, a man who wanted to see Jesus, is one bookend with Jesus weeping over the city that did not want to see Jesus as the second bookend with the triumphal entry in between with disciples praising God for all the works of power they had seen. It all seems to be intentionally tied together which makes one wonder if Zacchaeus continued to follow Jesus to Jerusalem in order to join the praise of the King who sets all things right, even a crooked tax collector.
